Job Description


The Business Analysis Lead, Digital is responsible for leading and overseeing business analysis activities across the digital platforms within Retirement Solutions.
This role provides hands‑on leadership across complex digital platforms, system integrations, and technology‑enabled transformation, ensuring business requirements are translated into high‑quality, scalable, and compliant solutions.
Reporting to the Head of Business Analysis, the role works in close partnership with the Business Analysis Lead, Applications to collectively oversee and govern all change activities, ensuring strong alignment between digital transformation and operational delivery.
The role also has direct accountability for people leadership, providing supervision, coaching, and mentorship to other analysts reporting into the Digital stream.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus

  • Lead the business analysis capability across all digital platforms, ensuring alignment with business strategy and transformation priorities.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Digital, Operations, Change, and Client Services teams to shape and deliver digital solutions.
  • Contribute to digital roadmaps, system modernisation initiatives, and platform enhancement strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Analysis Lead, Applications to ensure end‑to‑end change governance and prioritisation across the portfolio.


Operational Management

  • Oversee end‑to‑end business analysis deliverables for digital platforms, system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure high‑quality documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, system impacts, data flows, and non‑functional requirements.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex system, data, or solution design issues.
  • Ensure BA outputs meet quality, regulatory, audit, and risk standards.
  • Drive consistency in BA methodologies, tools, and documentation across digital initiatives.


People Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor business analysts within the Digital stream, building strong technical, analytical, and stakeholder engagement capability.
  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance, performance feedback, and development coaching.
  • Support resource planning, workload prioritisation, and capability uplift across the team.
  • Foster a high‑performance, collaborative, and learning‑focused team culture.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and solution reviews to drive clarity and alignment.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and impacts.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, timelines, dependencies, and risks.


Governance & Risk

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and control reviews related to digital and system changes.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage delivery, system, and data risks.
  • Promote a strong risk‑aware and control‑focused mindset across the BA team.

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Minimum 8–10 years of Business Analysis experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or people‑management capacity.
  • Strong experience in digital platforms, system implementation, system integration, and technology‑enabled transformation.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, agile and/or hybrid delivery models.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives in regulated environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated capability in coaching, mentoring, and developing BA talent.
  • Highly analytical, structured, and outcome‑focused.
  • Experience in financial services, pensions, MPF/ORSO, or registry platforms is highly desirable.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Systems, or a related discipline.
