Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice

Kick-start your career in business administration with a hands-on apprenticeship that offers real responsibility, valuable workplace experience, and a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification. You'll play a key role in supporting daily operations while developing essential skills in communication, organisation, and stakeholder management. Role Purpose

To develop core business administration skills while supporting the efficient day-to-day running of the organisation. The apprentice will gain practical experience across administrative functions, contributing to team objectives while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, photocopying, and document preparation

• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, phone calls, post)

• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems

• Act as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

• Respond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner

• Support meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on actions

• Assist with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and booking rooms

• Input and manage data using IT systems such as Microsoft Office

• Contribute ideas to improve administrative processes and efficiency

• Participate in apprenticeship training and complete coursework requirements

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Willingness to learn and develop professionally

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• Previous experience in an office or customer service environment

• Understanding of administrative processes

• GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English

• Strong time management and prioritisation skills

• Confidentiality and integrity in handling information

Progression Opportunities

Successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship may lead to a permanent role, further development, or progression into roles such as Administrator, Team Coordinator, or Office Manager.
