We’re looking for an organised and personable Business Administration Trainee to join our growing team at our Bondi Junction office. This is an on-the-job traineeship, perfect for someone looking to kick-start their career in business administration while gaining a nationally recognised qualification alongside real, hands-on experience.

What you’ll be doing

• As the first point of contact for our office, you’ll keep things running smoothly day to day while building your administration skills across a busy, fast-paced infrastructure business.
• Greet all individuals to the office – be polite, friendly and courteous to all staff, clients, suppliers, contractors and visitors, and provide refreshments where required
• Answer phone calls and forward to the appropriate person, taking messages where required
• Open and distribute mail
• Order kitchen and office supplies, staff amenities, stationery and printing supplies, and report on this monthly
• Arrange couriers and freight deliveries
• Book company travel and accommodation
• Ensure the office is kept clean and tidy
• Take meeting minutes
• Provide administrative support across the business
• Maintain accurate records
• Effectively implement approved processes in line with legislation, regulations and standards
• Other ad hoc administration duties as required

What you bring

• Demonstrated administration experience (advantageous but not essential)
• Ability to coordinate and prioritise a varied workload
• Confidence using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Outlook and Excel
• A keen eye for detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong oral and written communication
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

The traineeship

• An on-the-job Business Administration Traineeship with a growing infrastructure company based in Bondi Junction
• No experience required, though it’s an advantage – if you have experience but no formal qualification, this could be the perfect opportunity for you
