Position Title: Business Development Manager

Department: Sales and Business Development

Location: Indonesia

Reports To: Country Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

The Business Development Manager for the Mining Explosives Company in Indonesia, is responsible for driving business growth and expanding market presence within the region. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining client relationships, and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets. The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in promoting company's products and services to ensure the company remains a leader in the explosives industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Expansion and Business Growth:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Indonesian mining sector.
  • Implement strategies to increase market share and sales of Mining Explosives products and services.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the mining industry.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Marketing:

  • Participation in Industry events and Exhibitions
  • Collaborate with marketing team in submitting publications and advertisements in local publications to enhance the company's brand awareness

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create effective promotional strategies.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies to meet objectives.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Prepare and compile tender submissions.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage and oversee contract implementation, ensuring timely product and service delivery.
  • Preparing sales presentations and participating in sales meetings and tender meetings with potential new clients.

Product Knowledge and Innovation:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Mining Explosives products, services, and technological innovations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on product usage and benefits.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Collaboration and Team Leadership:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and R&D, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor junior sales and business development staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Training business developers and sales colleagues
  • Producing reports for management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the mining or explosives industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the mining industry in Indonesia and familiarity with local regulations and business practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
