Role Overview

Hallcon is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Bus Washer/Mover to support our fleet operations in the San Jose and Fremont areas. This role is responsible for safely moving buses throughout the yard, operating commercial bus washing equipment, and ensuring vehicles are cleaned and staged for daily operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean fleet, follows safety procedures, and works efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate buses within the yard to transport vehicles between parking locations and the bus wash area.
• Operate a walk-behind commercial bus washing system to clean the exterior of buses.
• Return buses to their designated parking locations after washing.
• Conduct basic visual inspections and report any vehicle damage or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bus wash facility.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable traffic regulations while operating vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and maintenance teams as needed.
• Perform duties in a safe, efficient, and professional manner while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Ability to safely operate commercial buses in a yard environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb in and out of commercial buses multiple times throughout the shift.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, including operating bus wash equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
