The Bus Driver is responsible for the safe operation of Rice University buses and for providing excellent transportation and customer service to the Rice community and visitors. The driver must serve as an ambassador to the Rice community and remain tactful at all times. The driver will provide detailed information to passengers on campus events, parking, building locations, and METRO information as needed. They must stay informed about all university policies and regulations, as well as state and federal transportation and traffic rules.

On-campus position: This position is exclusively on-site, requiring all duties to be performed in person. Per Rice policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change. This role is classified as an essential position, requiring on-site presence to effectively carry out its vital functions.
Hourly Hiring Rate: $18.20. *Non-Exempt (hourly) positions under FLSA are eligible for overtime.
