QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License with the following endorsements:
� Air Brakes
� Passenger
� School Bus
• Paid training is provided for successful applicants
• No more than three (3) moving violations within three (3) years
The School Bus Operator is responsible for the safe transportation of students for Saint Cloud School District 742.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Demonstrate the ability to safely operate each type of school bus owned and operated by District 742
• Safely operate school buses in accordance with state laws and District procedures
• Understand and appropriately respond to student behavior, including supporting students with disabilities
• Encourage orderly conduct and address misconduct appropriately
• Safely load and unload students
• Understand and follow laws, rules of the road, and District transportation safety policies
• Attend meetings with transportation staff, school administrators, and the public as needed
• Complete student incident reports when applicable
• Maintain fuel logs, mileage sheets, pre-trip inspection forms, and other required documentation
• Review route sheets for accuracy and provide recommendations to transportation leadership
• Sweep and clean buses daily as needed
• Attend required safety and informational meetings
• Maintain current first aid certification provided by the District
• Demonstrate professionalism consistent with District expectations
• Other duties as assigned
