This job is responsible for consulting on corporate business continuity topics with clients. Key responsibilities include recommending and implementing solutions that protect the bank's assets and participating or leading business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities (i.e., scenario analysis, plan development, testing, event management, and progress reporting/measurement). Job expectations include providing subject matter consulting support in audit and regulatory matters as needed.

In this role you will provide active Incident monitoring and Event Response support for Global Operations businesses. With a team spanning across India, US and UK time, this teammate will collaborate to resolve incidents and solve related problems. Key responsibilities include recommending and implementing solutions that protect the bank's assets and participating in business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities (i.e., scenario analysis, plan development, event management, and progress reporting/measurement). Job expectations also include providing subject matter consulting support in audit and regulatory matters as needed.


Responsibilities:
• Actively support the team to triage significant multi-FLU events, leveraging key support tools and references to ensure understanding and effective communication of potential impact to customers/clients experience, processes and/or other significant business disruption.
• This is a Response Monitoring role that requires teammates to be connected and engaged for their full assigned 8-hour shift to ensure consistent event monitoring coverage.
• Provide On-Call support for rotating Weekends and Holidays as needed.
• Drive results, by effectively consulting with business partners during response to events, and ensuring all stakeholders are accountable for any post event results.
• Support timely and accurate business communications, ensuring documentation of the incident is accurate.
• Use sound judgment to escalate incidents to senior leadership when required.
• Represent incidents in operational status and incident review meetings as well as post problem review and incident follow up.
• Interact effectively with teammates, management and partners and work with a sense of urgency.
• Conduct current-state risk-based assessments to develop business continuity management strategies and monitor the effectiveness following the implementation of the plan.
• Evaluate the performance of plans, processes, and programs at assigned organizational level, while assessing progress towards identified objectives.
• Help implement, monitor, and modify procedures for the effective response to incidents and the continuance of critical business services, based on testing and exercises of plans or actual events.
• Identify, validate, and escalate significant business continuity events to senior management.
• Partner closely with management, compliance and other control partners to develop strategies and capabilities to strengthen the program.
• Identify issues and/or control improvements as opportunities are identified.
• Provide subject matter support in audit and regulatory matters as needed.
• Ensures collaboration and partnership with all domestic and regional partners
• Help coordinate efforts to address and mitigate impact of unexpected business disruptions, to help ensure minimal impacts to clients and customers

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts current-state risk-based assessments to develop business continuity management strategies and monitors the effectiveness following the implementation of the plan
  • Evaluates the performance of plans, processes, and programs at assigned organizational level, while assessing progress towards identified objectives
  • Implements, monitors, and modifies procedures for the effective response to incidents and the continuance of critical business services, based on testing and exercises of plans or actual events
  • Supports testing of business continuity plans to assess readiness, identify deficiencies, and promote enhancements
  • Identifies, validates, and escalates gaps in business continuity readiness to senior management and second line partners

Required Skills:

• This is a Response Monitoring role that requires teammates to be connected and engaged for their full assigned 8-hour shift to ensure consistent event monitoring coverage.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, editing skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including Executive and Senior Leadership.
• Ability to rapidly shift priorities in a matrixed and changing environment to provide appropriate support based on impact level.
• 5+ years of experience in incident response, crisis response, or business continuity.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, and analyze information quickly.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to manage tasks independently with full follow-through.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and self-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to execute plans without daily oversight.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
