Salary: Teacher Assistant Salary Schedule
WORK HOURS: Morning and Afternoon for student attending School of Deaf
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma or GED.
Certification in Basic First Aid/CPR, desirable.
Accompany student with medical needs on school bus to and from school
Ensure safety and well-being of child being transported
Learn and adapt to students special medical needs
Communicate with teachers/parents on daily basis regarding student
Other duties may be assigned
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
