Bunker Trader – Marine Fuel

At World Fuel, we connect global energy supply with customer demand across the marine sector. We are seeking a commercially minded Bunker Trader to join our team in Singapore, supporting our marine fuel business across Korea and the wider region.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced trading environment, enjoys building customer and supplier relationships, and is motivated to develop commercial opportunities within dynamic commodity markets.

What You Will Do

• Manage fuel purchase requirements from existing customers and act as a key point of contact for transactions
• Develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and proactively prospect new customers
• Research and analyse market opportunities, developing targeted plans to win new business
• Monitor and share market intelligence to support pricing and commercial decision making
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and client visits
• Maintain an active pipeline of customer targets and prospects
• Support end-to-end transaction coordination, including pricing, delivery, and post-trade activities
• Monitor customer credit exposure and collaborate with credit teams to manage risk
• Assist with operational and logistical support including supplier coordination, delivery execution, and claims resolution
• Ensure a high standard of customer service and responsiveness in a competitive market

What We’re Looking For

• Approximately 3+ years of experience in commodity sales, trading, or a related commercial environment
• Exposure to marine fuel, bunkering, or broader energy/commodities markets is preferred but not essential
• Understanding of commodity market dynamics and pricing fundamentals
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data
• Resilient, driven, and proactive mindset with a strong desire to develop new business
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Language Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in Korean, both written and spoken, is required for this role due to regular interaction with Korean-speaking customers and stakeholders
• Additional language skills such as Chinese or Japanese are an advantage
