Bullis Summer Programs is seeking enthusiastic, energetic individuals who enjoy working with children ages 3½-11 in a full-day, 8-week day camp program. Programs have varied activities both indoors and outdoors. For Bulldog Day Camp, this includes weekly field trips and swimming for campers over the age of 5. Other skills include abilities to: be proactive in addressing situations, maintaining a good work ethic, and remaining even-tempered.

Qualified candidates are caring and compassionate, able to engage and manage groups of children in various settings, and are able to communicate effectively both verbally and by example.

Qualifications

Counselors must be at least 16 years of age by June 22, 2026. Preference is given to candidates who can work the full eight-week camp session (June 22–August 14, with no camp on July 3) and to those who can commit to at least four weeks of work during the summer.

Essential Functions:

• Supervise and be responsible for a group of 10-12 campers at all times
• Ensure the classroom where their group of campers meet is kept clean and in order
• Actively work with, play, and engage with campers
• Maintain a high level of energy throughout the camp day
• Assist with or lead games and activities with campers
• Help with changing camper clothing (Bulldog Jr only)
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
