Avonhurst Co-operative Limited is hiring a Bulk Petroleum Driver on a permanent full-time basis out of their farm centre location in Avonhurst, Saskatchewan
Join a team that keeps our region moving. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service. The role involves operating a bulk petroleum vehicle along established routes in order to deliver and sell products to customers.

YOU’LL HELP WITH:
- Deliver bulk petroleum products to customers while consistently providing outstanding customer service.
- Maintain the safety sensitive nature of the position by always reporting to work and remaining fit for duty throughout the workday.
- Provide information, assistance, and service to customers in a manner that encourages the sale of petroleum products and related merchandise, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met.
- Support the customer contact program by identifying and notifying appropriate personnel of potential customers.
- Oversee the maintenance of adequate sales aids, such as pamphlets and brochures, to effectively promote products.
- Assist and supervise the ordering, handling, receiving, and delivery of agricultural products.
- Collect and account for payments as required and assist with preparing orders for delivery as necessary.
- Order and maintain cardlock and bulk fuel areas, ensuring completion of all related administrative duties.
- Maintain and clean delivery units, trailers, and equipment, and ensure service records are kept up to date.
- Obtain and retain certification documents to ensure compliance.
- Perform assigned duties when not engaged in fuel delivery.
- Carry out any additional tasks necessary to advance Avonhurst Co-op’s vision and uphold the co-operative’s values of responsibility, respect, and excellence.
REQUIREMENTS YOU NEED:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess at minimum a valid Class 1 license with clean driver’s abstract.
- Strong service-orientation and motivation; capable of service and helping customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Possess experience and knowledge of petroleum and other Co-operative products to effectively use in all areas.
- Be mechanically inclined and capable of light maintenance work on delivery units.
- Effective diligence and a high degree of accuracy.
- Prominent level of integrity and accountability.
- Safety conscious, ability to multi-task and work independently.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Fast-paced schedule and working environment. Changes to priorities may come without any notice.
- Will be working along/independently while on delivery schedule.
- May be subjected to alcohol/drug testing as per Impairment Free Workplace policy.
- Extensive driving on schedule delivery days, will be needed to sit in vehicle for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift to 11.34 kgs. (25 pounds); lift boxes up to 22.67 kgs.(50 pounds) on an intermittent basis.
- Flexible to work various hours (mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) and on call as required, required to work extended hours, especially during seasonal peak times.
- Physically able to climb into and out of delivery trucks on a frequent basis. Able to walk while pulling a delivery hose. Physically able to often climb up and down ladders.
