Knowledge & skills

  • Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
  • Maintain logbooks/records on mileage, report all accidents and turn paperwork in a timely manner

  • Effective writing, reading and communication skills

Experience

  • You have a Class 1 drivers license to operate a tractor trailer
  • You have successful experience in hauling Super B and unstable load
  • You have successful experience working independently

  • Super B experience
  • Experience in hauling unstable load

things you will do…

  • Safe and efficient operation of bulk transport vehicle
  • Adhere to safety practices and procedures
  • Adhere to Dairy Industry Act and Regulations
  • Adhere to applicable Transportation regulations, Occupational Health and Safety, and National Safety Code Regulations
  • Maintain strong communication with peers, customers, and Lead Hand/Route foreman
  • Fuel vehicle, check oil, and report required repairs/maintenance
  • Maintain logbooks/records on mileage, report all accidents and turn paperwork in a timely manner
  • Load and unload truck with minimal to no product loss
  • Cleaning exterior and inside the tanks of bulk milk trucks
  • Maintain excellent attendance along with clean work habits
  • Climb ladders to the top of the bulk tanks to check tank levels and for cleanliness
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Class 1 Driver’s License to operate and drive a tractor trailer – Super B experience preferred
  • Experience hauling unstable loads
  • Must obtain Milk Grader’s License (training will be provided)
  • Must pass a company driving test and medical
  • Reasonably clean drivers abstract
