Position Overview:

The bulk operator position is responsible for performing the bulk job operations in several different styles running in the plant with quality and efficiency as assigned by the Bulk Supervisor. A bulk operator performs bulk operations with Automatic AMS machines, single needle with folder, double needles, auto-seamer, sergers and any other Bulk operation related.

What You'll Do:

• Perform the assigned bulk sewing operations according to the given specifications and appearance.
• Review and access the quality of the raw materials (cut goods, trims, etc.) before sewing to ensure Canada Goose quality standards are met.
• While maintaining the Canada Goose quality standards ensure individual productivity targets are achieved or exceeded on daily basis.
• Learn new operations and new machine types to achieve company goals of 100% efficiency or more.
• Work as a part of a team to ensure production lines are being fed with quality bulk panels on time.
• Adhere to Canada Goose rules, regulations, and code of conduct.

Let's Talk About You:

• Sewing experience in manufacturing and Apparel industry considered an asset.
• Experience on AMS, Seam Serger, SN and DN machines, eyelets, auto quilt machine (PS 700, 800 and richpeace), long arm, seam sealed machine, auto seamer/serger, heat press and snaps, and any other machine that will be assigned to bulk, considered a definite asset.
• Understanding on time management when performing multiple operations.
• Must be able to stand, think and plan, work well with others.
• Must be able to identify all the components of the garment.
• Ability to keep a steady head while running fabric through a machine.
• Manual dexterity (the ability to quickly make coordinated movements with one or both hands to manipulate fabric)
• Proven ability to follow instruction, problem solve and take initiative towards a solution.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly Range:

$18.62 - $20.59 / hour
