Are you passionate about historic buildings and conserving the historic environment, with experience of heritage consulting in a UK context? Join our talented Heritage team as a Built Heritage Consultant in our growing Croydon, Leeds, Newcastle, or Nottingham offices (other locations will be considered), as well as taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model.

Become part of our dynamic Environment & Energy business, which has multi disciplinary experts across the UK & Ireland, including 26 heritage specialists across the UK with specialisms in Archaeology, Historic Landscape and Built Heritage. Collaborate with clients such as National Grid, SSEN, Low Carbon, Severn Trent Water and Harbour Energy to name a few. Projects include Grid modernisation projects, solar farms, water transfer and pipeline projects, Local Plan development support, as well as green ways and active travel schemes. Here’s what we’re looking for:
The role requires an experienced candidate who can provide independent research, assessment and analysis on a broad range of heritage assets, including listed buildings, scheduled monuments and conservation areas, alongside an appreciation of non-designated heritage. We are seeking an individual who is competent in preparing desk-based assessments, heritage statements and statements of significance, with a desire to expand their knowledge and experience in Environmental Impact Assessments and characterisation studies, and expand their experience on larger complex schemes and consenting routes.
