What You'll Be Doing

This position performs leadership, supervisory and administrative responsibilities within the Buildings Maintenance Division within the Town’s Department of Public Works. The position is responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities. Work includes planning, assigning, supervising and inspecting the work of Buildings Maintenance Division employees; responding to building maintenance requests; establishing work priorities based on operational needs, safety issues, personnel and budget; oversees the performance of contracted services. The position also provides support for special Town events and emergency operations, including snow and ice removal, storm cleanup and other activities as assigned.

Examples of duties

• HS/GED
• Minimum of years of ten (10) years of experience. in building maintenance with a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree.
• HVAC and Building Maintenance training; Computer skills exp. relating to building maintenance software and systems; Municipal or multiple building maintenance exp.; HVAC technician, electrical technician, building maintenance certifications
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
