Job Description

Toledo Ice Cream is a DFA company that has an immediate job opening for a Building/Facility Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for performing maintenance functions in a safe and profitable manner. This will also include safely operating power equipment and assisting the plant maintenance team with coordination of inspections and special events.

Duties include but are not limited to: Performing and or coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/repairs of production support and facilities equipment, i.e. air compressors, fire extinguishing and sprinkler systems, forklifts, lifting equipment, HVAC system and filtration systems; Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment; Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all new and existing production and production support equipment; Maintain records within the maintenance electronic tracking system; Ensure safety policies and procedures for performing maintenance activities, following all building code requirements; and Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work area.

Qualifications

OUR BUILDING/FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS FOR THIS POSITION MAKE:

  • $27.16 per hour

SCHEDULE: Weekly, Monday – Friday, 7am-3:30pm

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3 years’ minimum experience in a facilities maintenance role within a manufacturing plant facility, preferably food and beverage industry.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary.
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment.
  • Exposure to allergens.
  • Must be able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
