Job Description

Our client, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join their team delivering educational-based projects across South Dublin and the Greater Dublin Area. These projects include large-scale school and campus developments requiring the coordination of complex mechanical and electrical systems. You will play a key role in ensuring building services are delivered to the highest technical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong M&E coordination experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage services packages on education or similarly complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and coordinate all mechanical, electrical, and specialist services packages on site.
2. Oversee M&E subcontractors to ensure works are delivered in line with programme and specifications.
3. Review technical drawings, submittals, and services layouts to ensure compliance with design intent.
4. Lead services coordination meetings with consultants, design teams, and subcontractors.
5. Monitor installation progress and report risks, delays, or technical issues to senior management.
6. Ensure all services installations comply with health & safety regulations and quality standards.
7. Coordinate commissioning activities, testing schedules, and preparation of handover documentation.
8. Resolve onsite services clashes and technical challenges in collaboration with design teams.
9. Maintain accurate records of services progress, inspections, and quality assurance checks.

Requirements

1. Minimum 4+ years’ experience as a Building Services Manager or M&E Coordinator.
2. Strong background in delivering M&E services on educational, commercial, or public-sector projects.
3. Excellent understanding of mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems.
4. Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive coordinated services delivery.
5. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
6. Relevant engineering or building services qualification with valid safety certifications.
