About the role:
We wouldn’t be able to positively impact the way the world shops without our passionate team members - who keep our business running, our vans delivering, our customers' products picked and packed and our proprietary technology operating at optimum levels. Both behind the scenes within the warehouses and across the front end of the customer experience which means we now have an opportunity for a Building Services Engineer to join the team.

We’re looking for a hands-on Building Services Engineer to play a key role in keeping our Dordon Customer Fulfilment Centre and regional spoke sites running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

You’ll take ownership of building services maintenance across the sites, working in a fast-paced, automated environment. From reactive repairs to planned improvements, you’ll ensure critical infrastructure performs at its best while driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

A major part of the role involves managing external contractors and working closely with Facilities, Operations, and Engineering teams to support a 24/7 operation.

You will be:
- Maintaining and improving building services and site infrastructure
- Working hands-on across HVAC, refrigeration, power distribution, plant, generators, and site services
- Coordinating and supervising multiple contractors on site each day
- Delivering safe, compliant maintenance through strong permit and contractor control
- Supporting audits, statutory inspections, and CapEx improvement projects
- Identifying efficiencies through energy and performance data

About you:
You’re a multi-skilled engineer who enjoys being close to the action and making a visible impact.

You’ll bring:
- Experience in a 24/7 FMCG or highly automated warehouse environment
- Strong building services knowledge (HVAC, chillers, power, sprinklers)
- A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a strong safety focus
- Confidence managing contractors and working across multiple stakeholders
- An HND/HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
- Desirable experience includes CMMS systems, health & safety qualifications, and a background in multi-skilled maintenance or facilities roles.
