Position: Building Service Engineer

About this role:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Services Engineer to join their team. This is your opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of critical infrastructure projects in a dynamic and challenging environment.

• End-to-End Project Management: Spearhead the management of Building Services (BS) contracts, including Alternation & Addition (A&A) and retrofit works across critical systems like Fire Services, Plumbing & Drainage, MVAC, Lifting Appliances, and Acoustic Treatment.
• Design and Specification: Develop everything from initial concepts to detailed designs, creating comprehensive budgets and technical specifications for all BS-related projects.
• Technical Oversight: Perform thorough tender evaluations and provide expert recommendations. You will also be responsible for checking and approving documents and drawings submitted by contractors.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Conduct rigorous safety and quality control inspections, oversee testing and commissioning, and actively monitor site progress to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact between internal departments, contractors, government authorities, and the public, effectively managing all project communications, including environmental, health, and safety issues.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Fire Services, Plumbing & Drainage systems, and other building services installations.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international regulations, design standards, codes of practice, and official submission procedures.
• Solid experience in project engineering coordination and contract administration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Full professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Experience using BIM software is an advantage.
• A valid class 1 and 2 driving license is an advantage.
