We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Building Security Officer (2nd Shift) to join our team. This essential role ensures physical safety while fostering a safe, secure, and professional environment for players, staff, and visiting guests. As a frontline representative, you will safeguard organizational assets and enforce comprehensive security policies and procedures across the property.

Schedule: 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage entry access points by inspecting credentials and badges to ensure that only authorized personnel, athletes, and registered guests enter the building.
• Oversee facility shipping and receiving operations by inspecting, logging, and coordinating the intake and dispatch of incoming and outgoing packages.
• Lock and unlock designated interior rooms, exterior gates, and restricted zones according to approved access schedules or supervisory requests.
• Operate and continuously monitor CCTV surveillance systems, automated access control hardware, and fire life-safety equipment to detect suspicious behavior or safety hazards.
• Conduct routine foot patrols across interior facilities and exterior perimeters to identify vulnerabilities, unauthorized presence, or property irregularities.
• Respond immediately to alarm activations, facility emergencies, or security breaches while executing established crisis protocols.
• Prepare clear, comprehensive, and timely incident reports detailing any security breaches, accidents, or operational concerns.
• Enforce organizational safety policies, visitor guidelines, and facility regulations in a firm yet courteous manner.
• Conduct personnel bag checks and inspections as required by organizational safety procedures to uphold access security.
• Deliver welcoming and professional customer service by answering general inquiries, assisting guests, and maintaining an approachable demeanor.
• Perform additional duties and operational assignments as directed by security leadership in compliance with company standards and applicable law.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Must hold a valid Georgia driver’s license and maintain a clean driving history verified by an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
• Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills needed to generate detailed incident logs and collaborate effectively with facility staff.
• Possesses solid computer skills and standard technical aptitude to navigate modern security and surveillance software.
• Demonstrates an elevated attention to detail, strong moral integrity, and a consistently polished, professional appearance.
• Has the physical capability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods across large facility layouts as operational needs demand.
• Must be physically capable of operating standard safety and security equipment, maintaining active First Aid and CPR certification, and passing annual written evaluations on security protocols.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on team operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two to three years of professional security experience, ideally within a sports arena, athletic complex, or corporate setting.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice or a related field of study.
