Job Description

Labcorp is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eye in Suffolk

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (37.5 hours).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Maintenance Engineering team with maintenance and repair of site plant and engineering systems.

  • Working individually on maintenance tasks as assigned by Facilities Manager

  • Undertaking daily plant checks including: steam boiler checks, L8 water compliance, AHU, chillers, AC units, sewage treatment plant etc.

  • Undertaking building fabric repairs: door alignment, drainage repairs, minor decoration etc.

  • Carrying out PPMs.

  • Liaising with and escort contractors.

  • Forklift and tractor driving.

  • Operation of MEWP.

  • Updating IT based PPM systems

  • Communicating daily with Facilities Manager and maintenance team

  • Reporting all plant failures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 or more GCSE’s, to include English, Mathematics and Science

Additional Job Standards:

  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or construction trades.

  • Alternatively ‘handyman’ experience and general exposure to construction and engineering environment will be considered

  • Valid UK drivers licence

  • Weekend overtime available
