Job Description

Contract period: 2-year Contract
Department: Transmission Department / Civil Branch

We are looking for capable BIM professionals to join the Civil Design Section of Civil Branch in our Transmission Department. Reporting to the Manager / Engineer - BIM, the successful candidate will be responsible for following duties:

  • Provide support on implementation of BIM in the projects
  • Create, modify and maintain BIM models, BIM objects and BIM datasets to meet relevant standards, applications, project specifications and the requirements provided by the Design, Construction and Maintenance teams including review and updating of information in the BIM platform
  • Produce project drawings / plans and schedules for Design, Construction and Maintenance team
  • Prepare drawings, schematics and graphics based upon relevant standards
  • Carry out measurement on-site to assist the preparation of drawings / BIM models and / or verify the information in the drawings / BIM models
  • Carry out other duties assigned by supervisor as and when required

Requirements:

  • Higher Certificate / Higher Diploma preferably in BIM / Architecture / Engineering / Civil / Surveying / related discipline or Professional Diploma in Power Engineering or equivalent plus 2 years’ relevant experience; OR Ordinary Certificate / Ordinary Diploma in Engineering or related discipline or Diploma in Power Engineering or equivalent plus 4 years’ relevant experience
  • Possession of a recognized training certificate in BIM modelling is preferrable
  • Proficiency in CAD, BIM and graphic software and hardware
  • Familiarity with relevant BIM standards, BIM modelling and graphic technique
  • Good understanding of CLPP Safety Rules, relevant statutory requirements, SHEQ requirements, code of practices and relevant procedures
  • Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts in English and Cantonese, both verbal and written
  • Good analytical ability, creative and result oriented
