Job Description

Level Entry Job Location Centennial Ice Arena - Highland Park, IL 60035 Position Type Part Time Salary Range $20.50 - $32.00 Hourly

The Building Coordinator is responsible for care of the ice and facility during shift as well as assisting with weekly ice maintenance and minor equipment repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general cleanliness of facility.
  • Operate Zamboni in order to resurface ice.
  • Complete special projects, including painting and other minor aesthetic and repair work.
  • Perform weekly maintenance with Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Make minor repairs to the Zamboni.
  • Secure the building in opening or closing hours.
  • Know and follow emergency action procedures.
  • Monitor used of facility in all areas.
  • Supervise events and programs in facility as necessary
  • Maintain ice schedule.
  • Enforce rules of facility.
  • Field and answer questions to the best of their ability.
  • Perform other Park District related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.



Qualifications

Education and/or

Experience:
One to two years experience preferred but not necessary. Ability to learn routine tasks quickly and to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Physical strength and ability to perform routine manual cleaning and maintenance tasks. Must be in good physical condition. Zamboni experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate.

Certificates and Licenses: American Red Cross CPR/AED Certification, Valid Drivers License

Schedule: Must have flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Under 20 hours a week
