Housekeeping - Under general direction, cleans all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. Demonstrate ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to housekeeping procedure. Work variable shifts. Courier - Travel a scheduled daily route to pick up or deliver mail, supplies and Lab specimens to the hospital facilities. Ensure all documents are handled safely, and vehicles are secure at all times. Maintain sanitary and attractive surroundings, provide excellent customer service, comply with hospital safety guidelines and uphold OSHA and SDS guidelines/practices.

SCHEDULE: Variable

Key Responsibilities:
Removal and disposal of trash and waste product.

· Clean patient rooms, restrooms, offices and hospital common areas within established departmental standards.

· Maintain floors, strip and wax floors; shampoo carpets according to scheduled maintenance standards.

· Maintain walkways to ensure safe access.

·Respond to visitor, patient and staff requests for assistance.

· Maintain knowledge of OSHA and MSDS practices.

· High focus on customer and patient satisfaction.

· Working as a team towards accomplishing departmental goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Minimum Qualifications:
Possess and maintain a New York Driver’s License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE:

$18.10 - $25.72

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
