
Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $18.32 - Midpoint: $21.97 (Hourly N4)

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
The Building Associate coordinates building operations and services. Monitors all buildings and facilities. Communicates facilities issues that may affect work or safety to occupants. Serves as initial contact for incoming shipments and deliveries.
Additional Department Summary: Supports the day to day operations of the College of Communication & Information Sciences. Serves as the primary college building representative. Supports academic scheduling processes. Maintains accurate faculty and program records. Provides administrative assistance to the Dean’s Office. Works under academic programs and operations leadership. Focuses on coordination, implementation, and service to ensure smooth college operations.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in construction or building maintenance/monitoring.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong verbal and written skills. Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Keen attention to detail. In-depth knowledge of Excel and data management. Project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Experience in higher education administration and operations. Prior experience as a building representative. Three (3) years of experience supporting large scale facilities projects and academic programs and scheduling. Three (3) years of administrative or operational support experience.
