LOCATION:Phoenix, Arizona

STATUS:Part time/ Non-Exempt

MISSION STATEMENT:

The position will work independently with minimal direct supervision during non-business hours. Because of this excellent documentation will be required and checked against surveillance footage randomly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 3 years of work experience.
  • Service-oriented with the ability to maintain a positive attitude while interacting with Kroc employees, guests, and the general public.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to carry out multiple tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Must be in good physical and mental health, capable of meeting the demands of the RJKCCC job site.
  • Maintain a non-judgmental attitude with customers, clients, and/or members of staff.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current certification in First Aid, CPR/AED required. If not current, certification must be obtained within two months of hire.
  • Successful background check is required.
  • Guard Card training must be completed within 30 days of the start of employment and certification must be maintained throughout employment.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the operations of the facility by providing security presence during business hours and monitoring of facility cameras.
  • Report security and maintenance issues via security log, email, and phone when irregularities are observed.
  • Exercise sound judgment in carrying out assignments independently.
  • Follow nightly script to ensure that doors, windows, and gates are secure inside and outside the facility and report irregularities.
  • Monitor camera system between scheduled rounds.
  • Review camera footage and save video clips for management review. Maintain workplace ethical standards and confidentiality protocols.
  • Provide access and supervision of cleaning and maintenance vendors while they are working in the facility.
  • Interact with clients and other staff members in a courteous, professional, respectful manner.
  • Use office equipment to communicate with other facility staff and vendors as needed.
  • Work independently overnight with minimal direct supervision.
  • Keep an accurate and thorough communication log regarding irregularities for management and daytime staff review.
  • Provide basic information about the facility and programs as necessary.
  • Investigate/report activity and incidents as necessary.
  • Monitor and supervise client social activities.
  • Provide set-ups and take-downs of furniture and equipment needed for various programs and building uses.
  • Removal of trash, litter, and recyclable items.
  • After training, provide basic operation of and ability to startup and shutdown, HVAC, aquatics systems, fire alarms, water, gas, and electric utilities.
  • Help to maintain the appearance of the facility’s grounds components including doors, windows, flooring, roofing, ceilings, and furnishings.
  • In the event of inclement weather, attendant will respond to leaks, power outages, and building or grounds damage by taking appropriate steps to report and temporarily address the issues.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned as they relate to the position of Overnight Building & Security Attendant.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate a telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
