This blended role enhances sales operations by engaging both residential architectural practices and builder organizations in California. It focuses on creating strong partnerships with architects, builders, and designers, demonstrating the value of daylight and fresh air, and ensuring VELUX solutions are embedded in specifications and realized in built projects.

Primary Functions

  • Market Development
    • Identify and engage architects, builders, and key decision-makers across custom, regional, and national builder markets.
    • Concentrate efforts on regional residential builders, custom home builder/architect tracks, and key design influencers.
  • Sales & Project Integration
    • Deliver compelling presentations showing how skylights transform residential design and create competitive differentiation.
    • Ensure skylights are integrated into project specifications and collaborate with the VELUX Sales team to close deals.
    • Actively track project pipelines and conversion from specification to skylight sales.
  • Relationship Building
    • Build strong networks within local builder and architect communities, including HBAs and AIA chapters.
    • Facilitate and coordinate joint builder/architect events, Lunch & Learns, and HBA/CA trade show participation.
    • Engage in local community events to expand awareness and adoption of skylight solutions.
  • Strategic Planning & Metrics
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and impact of builder/architect messaging.
    • Contribute to lead management systems, project tracking, and team KPIs for the 2026 Pilot.
    • Provide reporting on project specifications, conversion rates, and skylight sales outcomes.

Starting Monthly Salary: $7,880 - 10,500. Compensation is based on the skill and experience of the candidate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in architectural/design sales, building product sales, or equivalent transferable experience.
