Job Description

emergiTEL is hiring a Outside Plant Technician 1 for our client in the telecommunications industry. This is a Contract role.
Compensation: ( $30 - $33.34/hour- T4)
Location: Montreal, QC

  • Develop and document fiber architecture, growth, and capacity plans for TELUS Central Region to ensure a flexible, robust, and cost-effective network.
  • Assist in tendering and selection of qualified vendors for fiber design engineering, field construction, outside plant construction, and fiber equipment installation.
  • Interpret Tactical Infrastructure Plans for Outside Plant structures to produce practical designs within design and financial constraints.
  • Collaborate with permitting agencies, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Work directly with internal and external customers to deliver communication infrastructure solutions.
  • Prepare cost estimates and billing reports for customers.
  • Effectively manage both favorable and unfavorable customer interactions.
  • Meet planning, organizational schedules, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure design, scheduling, and financial constraints are optimally managed.
  • Provide guidance to partner teams and peers while meeting project timelines and budgets.

  • Développer et documenter l’architecture de la fibre, ainsi que les plans de croissance et de capacité pour la région centrale de TELUS afin d’assurer un réseau flexible, robuste et rentable.
  • Participer aux appels d’offres et à la sélection de fournisseurs qualifiés pour l’ingénierie de conception de fibre, la construction sur le terrain, les travaux d’infrastructure extérieure et l’installation d’équipements de fibre.
  • Interpréter les plans d’infrastructure tactiques pour les structures de réseau extérieur afin de produire des conceptions réalisables dans les contraintes techniques et financières.
  • Collaborer avec les organismes de réglementation, les partenaires externes et les agences de permis.
  • Travailler directement avec les clients internes et externes pour fournir des solutions d’infrastructure de communication.
  • Préparer des estimations de coûts et des rapports de facturation pour les clients.
  • Gérer efficacement les interactions clients favorables et défavorables.
  • Respecter les échéanciers de planification et d’organisation.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes internes afin d’optimiser la gestion des conceptions, des calendriers et des contraintes financières.
  • Fournir des conseils aux équipes partenaires et aux collègues tout en respectant les délais et les budgets des projets.
