Job Description

Valiant is looking for a Build Center Lead/Lab Manager to join our team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works as a field engineer/hands-on technician and manages these activities in a build center environment that facilitates and ensures the successful build, testing, packaging and disposition of Customer equipment.
  • Individual in this position provides support in the areas of planning, requirements gathering, support to technical efforts within the Group for Sponsor projects.
  • Will support and represent Sponsor in efforts related to mission planning and technical execution of system requirements and builds for field deployment.
  • Develop and present briefings, status reports.
  • Create/update documentation/deliverables.
  • Develop and manage schedules – incorporate and communicate changes.
  • Input Sharepoint changes and work with Engineers on modifications and troubleshooting.
  • Work with Logistics/Procurement resources for quotes, receipt and shipping of equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications SECURITY REQUIREMENT: TS/SCI with Poly
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS In Engineering or Computer Science

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 11+ years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of applications and functions related to telecommunications, to include satellite communications, networking, enterprise systems used by the Sponsor as well as the IC.
  • Demonstrated experience working well with large diverse teams, alone and with mission partners as required.
  • Strong understanding of Customer technical and secure environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously in a rapidly paced environment.
  • Ability to Incorporates/Implement changes to schedule.
  • Working knowledge of Customer’s organization, internal policies and processes.
  • Project Organization/tracking.
  • Expert with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, using Tableau and ServiceNow.
  • Willing to “go the extra mile” in customer service and effort in ensuring that time critical requirements are met.
  • Ability to work as part of a team of very strong personalities in a very dynamic environment.
  • Highly mission oriented.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Customer field communications.
  • Experience in Customer’s Project Management Framework.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
