Located across the street from The Mall at Short Hills, the Hilton Short Hills features locally sourced food, an outdoor terrace and lounge, tennis courts and an indoor/outdoor pool to offer a memorable and enjoyable experience to our guests.
We are looking for our next best team member to fill the position of Buffet Runner. This is a unionized position.
Here is what you will be doing each day:
Prepares foods such as fruit, juices, cereals, bread, hot food, etc.
Replenishes food on hot/cold buffets
Works with cooks to maintain adequate supply of food based upon consumption
Performs general cleaning in order to stay in compliance with the Health Department
Restocks outlets with appropriate inventory
Breaks down buffet, clean all serving vessels, replace and set for next day’s business
Puts away food stock and dry goods in their proper location
Does this sound like you?
You have at least 6 months of experience as a food runner in a hotel preferably. You have or have the ability to take your food handlers certification. You are able to stand for long periods of time. Having upscale dining experience is a plus. You have a keen eye for details, and you have high-quality standards in your work. This is a temporary postion. Candidates must be able to work on the weekends - Saturday and Sunday.
