BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Budget and Planning (OBP), Operating Budget Division. The incumbent is responsible for providing a wide range of technical support as it relates to budget analysis and administration to budget analysts, departmental program managers, accountants, and other financial personnel. Duties include, but are not limited to: collecting, compiling, and consolidating data to support budget requests; analyzing and comparing supplemental budgetary data with previous budget submissions and existing reports to ensure accuracy and resolve issues; validating requests for correct financial attributes; processing financial documents to ensure accurate and timely certification and transaction processing; and collecting, compiling, and consolidating data to assist managers in initiating and expediting budget-related requests. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Examples of duties

A Bachelor's Degree or (2) two years of general work experience performing duties related to providing administrative, clerical and/or financial support.

Qualifications

Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.

SALARY REDUCTION OF REEMPLOYED ANNUITANTS:

An individual selected for employment in the District Government on or after January 1, 1980, who is receiving an annuity under any District government civilian retirement system, shall have his or her pay reduced by the amount of annuity allocable to the period of employment as a reemployed annuitant.
