The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform advanced accounting functions in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. The position is responsible for purchasing, analyzing and reconciling accounts, preparing and processing related information, maintaining financial records, posting, auditing, processing accounts payable and/or receivable, and preparing financial reports. MyFlorida Marketplace experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, public administration, or a closely related field.
Competencies
· Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
· Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records.
· Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
· Microsoft Word and Excel competency.
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
