This position is primarily responsible for supporting the calculation and reporting of the Cooperative's revenue requirements and preparing the annual budget for generation and transmission service to the Member Cooperatives. This includes assisting with the operation of the budget model, collecting and organizing the budget assumptions, validating budget model input, and interpreting year-over-year budget variances and trends. This position is also responsible for supporting the preparation of various monthly management performance reports and reports to the Board of Trustees, and detailed variance and trend analysis of actual financial results in comparison to the cooperative budget. This position performs detailed financial analysis to support cross-departmental initiatives, external benchmarking studies, financial forecasting, and informed management decision making and planning.

• NERC Compliance Performs NERC Compliance Program roles if/as designated in Seminole's Standard Ownership Matrix (SOM) including ongoing evidence retention in "audit-ready" form. You should also be familiar with Seminole's Enterprise Internal Compliance Program (ENT-GCD-RGC-EP-054) to further your understanding of Seminole's compliance program and your duties and responsibilities in the SOM.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business equivalent. Additional training in financial management or an advanced accounting or finance degree is desirable. Electrical utility or related industries experience preferred. Applicants with three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in corporate budgeting, financial management and/or an advanced accounting may be considered for the Budget Analyst II-level job title.

Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.

Working Conditions

Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment.
