Salary up to $61,000 based on education and experience.

Job Details

  • Full-time 40-hour work weeks.

  • Support the Finance team

  • Salary up to: $61,000

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of the annual agency budget work program, annual budget request, and annual legislative hearing documents.

  • Leads monthly budget meetings with assigned departments.

  • Reviews and approves purchase requests and invoices for assigned departments to ensure accuracy and availability of funding.

  • Compiles data related to agency financial transactions and operations, revenues, and expenditures.

  • Assists assigned departments as needed on various budget inquiries

  • Collaborates with other areas within the Finance team on various tasks

  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.

  • This position may require lifting, moving, or carrying up to 25 pounds of paper.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, economics, accounting or finance; or

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience in one of the above areas.

  • Experience in PeopleSoft CORE applications preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess

  • Knowledge of Statewide Accounting Manual

  • Microsoft Excel experience at an intermediate or higher level

  • Database experience
