Job Description

BU|BeWell, the Butler campus-wide wellbeing initiative, is looking for a student to manage its social media accounts. We are looking for someone who: thinks creatively, has a passion for promoting wellbeing through design, and has a strong attention to detail.

Essential skills:

• strong communication across multiple platforms (email, Instagram)
• skilled at organization, planning ahead
• ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• innovative, creative thinking

The successful candidate will:

• Develop content following Butler, BUBeWell, and health promotion guidelines
• Contribute to weekly meetings with the Health Promotion Specialist & the larger student marketing team to discuss strategy, postings, updates, etc.
• Maintain BUBeWell social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok) and Google Drive folders, consolidate files and folders, as needed
• Develop a regular schedule for posting
• Schedule and catalog content
• Track and record Instagram Insights as a means of data collection to influence future postings
• Collaborate with campus partners and students to cross promote initiatives, accounts, and events. Includes: student takeovers, Instagram collaborations with other accounts
• Obtain quality photos by working with campus partners, student photographers, student graphic designers, or by capturing on their own
• Creative, independent brainstorming of post ideas and ways to grow the accounts. Includes: giveaways, Student Assistant’s passion areas/topics, information that students need
