We're looking for a proactive, safety-focused Driver to join our national team, collecting redundant waste batteries from customer sites across the UK and ensuring their safe transport for recycling and disposal.
This is more than just a driving job – you'll play a vital role in supporting the circular economy and helping businesses manage hazardous waste responsibly.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our specialist collection team, you'll:
✅ Collect and manually load waste batteries from customer sites, including multi-floor locations, safely and efficiently.
✅ Operate across a varied national collection route, providing excellent customer service at every stop.
✅ Ensure all waste is loaded, secured, transported, and delivered in full compliance with hazardous waste and ADR regulations.
✅ Complete all required compliance and transport documentation accurately and on time.
✅ Carry out daily vehicle inspections, safety checks, and maintain vehicle cleanliness to company standards.
✅ Report any safety concerns, near misses, incidents, spillages, or vehicle defects promptly.
✅ Adhere to all customer site rules, including security, health and safety requirements.
✅ Work collaboratively with driver's mates and operational teams to ensure collections are completed safely and efficiently.
✅ Identify opportunities to improve customer service and communicate additional customer requirements to management.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Good geographical knowledge of mainland UK.
- Strong understanding of the Highway Code, including the Hierarchy of Road Users.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment, with the ability to manage expectations professionally.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence handling challenges and resolving issues with a positive, solution-focused approach
- Safety-conscious and proactive in everything they do.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards.
