Veolia has been present in Taiwan for over 30 years with significant investments. We are currently rolling out a large-scale CAPEX program to expand our local footprint, focusing on soil remediation, resource recovery, wastewater revitalization, and hazardous waste management.

We are seeking a Senior I&C & Automation Engineer based in Taipei HQ to join our BU BS&P Team. Serving as the headquarters-level technical and automation specialist, this role is responsible for cross-sector support across all Veolia Taiwan portfolios (WTE/Incinerators, Water, and Chemical Recycling facilities) regarding technical design review, functional system testing (DCS/PLC/ESD/FGS), and commissioning management.

【Key Responsibilities】

Cross-Site Technical Review & Digital Alignment

• Check and verify technical design documentations, drawings (P&ID, electrical diagrams), and engineering data from subsidiaries and package vendors to ensure alignment with Veolia standards.

• Support and optimize control network architecture and Graphical User Interface (GUI) across sites to facilitate seamless operational data transmission back to HQ performance platforms.

Testing & Onsite Commissioning Management

• Represent HQ BS&P Dept. to lead and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for core control systems (DCS, ESD, FGS, and Package PLCs).

• Execute instrument loop tests, site process sequence validation, and Safety Instrumented System (SIS) functional tests to optimize process efficiency.

Schedule Control & Alignment

• Maintain strict schedule control and proactively call for alignment meetings to compress timelines and secure project milestones under challenging environments.

Qualifications

【Required Qualifications】

• 10+ years of experience in I&C engineering design, functional testing, and commissioning for major Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Semi-con, WTE, or Water projects (EPC background such as CTCI is highly preferred).

• Proven track record of execution in FAT/SAT for large-scale control systems (DCS, ESD, FGS) and standalone Package PLCs.

【Preferred Qualifications】

• Familiarity with Chemical Thermodynamics, Mass Balance, or certified in industrial automation training courses.

【Skills & Personal Attributes】

• Ability to accommodate business travel 1-2 days per week to various Taiwan domestic sites and subsidiaries.

• Highly schedule-oriented, self-disciplined, and fluent in field troubleshooting to achieve project milestones and optimize costs.

• Exceptional team player with strong communication skills to drive consistency across HQ management, plant managers, and subcontractors in multicultural environments.
