Job Title:Brunswick Adult Therapist

Location:On-site

City/Stat/County:Shallotte, NC – Brunswick County

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina (LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, or equivalent).
  • Priority for individuals licensed as a LCASA/LCAS.

JOB POSTING:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brunswick Adult Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing independent diagnostic, psycho-social, and professional counseling to clients, who are facing complex substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. This role requires the ability to work autonomously, while still receiving appropriate supervision to ensure best practices and client care.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver psycho-social support and therapeutic interventions to promote recovery and enhance mental well-being.
  • Maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to clients.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients as they progress through treatment.
  • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and organizational policies while fostering a positive and supportive environment for clients.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and interventions for substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively while providing individualized care to clients.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience working with both adults and adolescents is preferred.
