As a new graduate LPN, you will play a vital role on our interdisciplinary care team, helping to provide safe, effective, and empathetic care while building meaningful connections with patients and colleagues.

This comprehensive 12-month program complements your preceptor experience and equips you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in your first year of practice.

About Our Facility:

Brook Lane is a 64-bed facility in Hagerstown, MD and home to the second largest psychiatric hospital in Maryland, serving children, adolescents, and adults. We provide a residential program for children and adolescents, and partial hospitalization services for both adults and children. The InSTEP program provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment options for individuals with substance use treatment needs.

Requirements Prior to Interviewing:

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation, with at least one being from a clinical instructor.
  • Letter of Intent

Education – Graduate from an approved nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Experience – One year experience in relevant specialty preferred. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy.

Licensure/Certification – Current nursing license to practice in the State of Maryland.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy. Basic computer skills required. Must possess high level of organizational and communication skills.
