
Under the general supervision of the School Director, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Compensation: Base Salary-Certified-$73,500, $2,000 Testing Grade, (Adv. Degrees $3,000 for masters, $5,000 for doctorate). $200/ year for applicable experience.

The English Language Arts teacher delivers curriculum aligned with district goals, creating a safe and effective learning environment for diverse students. They develop and implement lesson plans, continuously assess student learning, and adjust methods to meet individual needs, including those of students with special requirements. Teachers promote responsible citizenship, maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance, and foster parental involvement through effective communication. They ensure student conduct aligns with school policies, collaborate with colleagues on curriculum evaluation, and manage classroom resources. Additional duties include supervising students during school activities and administering standardized tests.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the School Director and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
Equipment: Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements: Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
