Job Description

Brokk Maintenance Technician

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 Years Experience as a Qualified Millwright (Essential).
  • 3 Years Experience in Supervisory Role (Essential).
  • Red Seal Millwright Trade Certification (Essential).
  • Electrical Wiremans License.
  • Sound Knowledge of Planned Maintenance Principles (Highly Desirable).
  • Knowledge of Brokk machines ( Highly Desirable).
  • MCC and Hydraulic (Essential).
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills, Leadership Ability, and High Tolerance for Pressure (Essential).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative, electrical, mechanical, and maintenance repairs on all demolition equipment.
  • Carry out final inspections on equipment.
  • Conduct hydraulic repairs.
  • Maintain instrumentation.
  • Manage repair costs per machine according to annual budgets.
  • Respond to all equipment breakdowns as first-line maintenance and fault finding.
  • Ensure all equipment is utilized optimally and handled with care.
  • Assist the Operational Manager by reserving labour and ensuring all equipment is available in good working condition for rapid deployment of teams.
  • Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
  • Monitor employee productivity, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Ensure that manpower executing the work is supplied with the necessary resources to fulfil their roles.
