Position Summary

Acting as the primary account representative for assigned accounts, the Logistics & Brokerage Representative I is primarily responsible for providing brokerage and logistics services to clients

Key Responsibilities (Supervisory/Materials/Information)

• Provide approval to ship freight; track and trace shipments
• Prepare Customs Release documentation
• Analyze documentation to determine appropriate tariff classification, duty and tax rate
• Prepare import and export documents
• Primary account representative
• Resolves client inquiries, including tracking and tracing shipments, billing problems, etc.
• Completes weekly billing in adherence to client contract and approves invoices for payment
• Maintains files, photocopies, fax and other duties assigned

Education and Experience

• High School diploma
• Minimum of one year of brokerage experience
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation preferred

• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent and accurate data entry skills

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to focus on computer screen and / or written material for extended periods of time
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
• Must work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely and efficient manner
• Must be able to professionally handle various personnel and other situations as they arise
• May need to work the occasional Statutory Holiday or overtime, as needed
