A Brokerage Clerk provides administrative and operational support to a brokerage firm by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting brokers and clients with account-related inquiries. This role ensures trades are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and record securities transactions, including trades, transfers, and settlements

  • Maintain accurate client account records and update databases and filing systems

  • Prepare and review trade confirmations, statements, and related documentation

  • Assist brokers with daily administrative tasks and transaction support

  • Communicate with clients regarding account information, documentation, and routine inquiries

  • Monitor transaction details to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies

  • Coordinate with clearing firms, banks, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies

  • Handle confidential financial information with discretion and accuracy

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred)

  • Basic understanding of financial markets and investment products

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial recordkeeping systems

  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in a brokerage, banking, or financial services environment

  • Familiarity with securities regulations and compliance requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
