WLWT, the Hearst Television owned NBC affiliate in Cincinnati, is looking for a Broadcast Systems Technician.The maintenance technician preserves the technical integrity of the station’s on-air signals and its equipment from acquisition to distribution.This position supports all station efforts in-house and on remote locations.
Job Responsibilities:
Works closely with engineering and IT management and staff to support critical on-air systems and workflows including news, production, and broadcast systems and equipment.
Provides user support in a Windows workstation environment for custom and standard software applications.
Administers, maintains, and troubleshoots newsroom automation and streaming systems including field gear.
Handles hardware configuration, imaging, and deployment, performs back-ups, and supports LAN infrastructure.
Assist users with installing and using new software and features.
Qualification Requirements:
Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to repair equipment down to the circuit level,
Must be able to read and understand technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics,
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work on rooftops, and in confined spaces,
In person work required.
Education:
Associates degree or bachelor's degree; or a minimum of two-years of an accredited IT and electronics school equivalent.
