This role sits at the intersection of hardware engineering, software development, and product management, ensuring our solutions deliver the performance, resilience, and safety required for environments where failure is not an option.

The duties of the role will include:

  • Architectural Strategy: Define and evolve the high-level system architecture for communication devices, including hardware–software interfaces, networking protocols, and sensing technologies.
  • Design for Reliability: Ensure designs prioritize high availability, rapid connectivity, and traffic prioritization to meet strict mission-critical performance standards.
  • Security & Compliance: Embed security throughout the product lifecycle, conducting threat modelling and ensuring compliance with standards such as 3GPP MCX (MCPTT, MCVideo, MCData).
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering, UX, QA, and Product Management teams to align technical architecture with product strategy and customer needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and support informed decision-making across the organization

  • Strong understanding of high availability system design, reliability engineering, and scalable architecture.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability, strategic thinking, and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
