Introduction to the job

We are looking for highly motivated, self-driven, hands-on technical individual to support our state-of-the-art Optical Proximity Correction product (OPC +) for Logic process. This position will be in ASML Brion Korea FAE(Field Application Engineer) organization as Modeling engineer.

Role and responsibilities

Customer Enablement & Technical Support

  • Introduce and train customers and technical support teams on new product features - model calibration, validation, and trouble-shooting.
  • Build and validate robust modeling solutions to ensure effective customer adoption of Brion’s products.

Product Feature Development & Enhancement

  • Define specifications and improvements for new model product features in each release.
  • Investigate photo process and product features to identify and resolve issues.
  • Enhance product features through efficient debugging and optimization.
  • Support the development of enabling RET/OPC capabilities for next-generation lithography processes.

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide coaching and consulting to team members to achieve project item KPI – Model/OPC, etc.
  • Take ownership beyond assigned responsibilities to contribute to overall team success.

Project Leadership & Customer Engagement

  • Initiate and manage projects that deliver optimal technical solutions to customers.
  • Drive customer adoption of Brion products as baseline solutions through effective technical communication.
  • Collaborate with management and account to develop strategic goals for expanding technical adoption.

Education and Experience

  • MS or Ph.D. Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science required
  • Direct experience in OPC (Optical Proximity Correction), including lithography simulation, ILT, RET, Advanced mask technology
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in photo process engineering or photo/etch process development in a manufacturing environment.

Skills

  • Analytical skills for evaluating process information and solving complex problems
  • Demonstrating project leadership skills, including planning and managing projects, assessing and mitigating risks, and delivering results under tight schedules.
  • Strong problem analysis/solving and innovative thinking skills.
  • Programming ability- in one of following – C/C++, Python, MatLap,Perl,tcl/tk, Lua
  • Good communication/Documentation skills - verbal and written, both in English
  • Builds strong relationships with customer/stakeholders

Preferred

  • Experience of various OPC technologies – Modeling, OPC corrections, OPC validation(LMC), DRC, Mask process
  • Experience of design or OPC for Logic device
  • Direct experience with Photolithography and/or OPC model development
  • Individuals with strong ability to learn and explore new technologies and who are able to demonstrate good analysis and problem-solving skills are preferred

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
