Parsons is looking for a talented Bridge Drafter to join our team full-time to support one of the many large transformative transportation projects that we have either won, are currently pursuing, or will pursue across the nation.

In this role, you will help deliver the design for projects that have a construction value greater than $1 billion, and in turn assist in enhancing the mobility, safety, and reliability for communities who live along and travel through these critical corridors. This position is remote, and the selected candidate will have flexibility in work location while still supporting virtual collaboration with Parsons teams.

What You'll Be Doing:
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelors and 2+ years of related work experience OR Associate's Degree 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) and 4+ years of related work experience
Solid operational knowledge of 2D drafting tools within industry-standard software, primarily Bentley MicroStation (preferred) or Autodesk AutoCAD
Understanding how to attach, scale, and manage external references (XREFs or reference files)
Ability to navigate pre-configured CAD workspaces, active design files, sheet views, and model spaces
Ability to accurately apply text scaling, dimension styles, callouts, and leader lines appropriate for varying sheet print sizes
Skill in reading and understanding structural engineering sketches, plans, sections, profiles, and cross-sections
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Knowledge of reinforcing steel layout rules, concrete cover requirements, bar lap splice/development lengths, and complex bending schedules
Ability to perform accurate structural calculations for concrete volumes, weights of steel, and surface areas of coatings
Familiarity with individual state Department of Transportation (DOT) CAD standards, cell libraries, and delivery protocols
