The Key PurposeofthisroleasaBrewingexpert,leadandmanageareateamstodeliver soundoperationalandtechnicalpracticesinthebrewingdepartmentunderpinnedbyprescribedVPO practices.TheBrewing AreaManagerisrequiredtomeettherequiredproductionplan,adheringtotheprinciplesofallVPOpillars.theroleisrequiredtomaintainahighlevelofcontrolagainstthebudgetedKPI'saswellasthevariable andfixedcostscontrollablewithintheteam.

Promote beer brewing quality excellence in the value chain

  • Communicatebrewing processandproductqualityinformationstandards

  • Effectivelycommunicatechangesinthebrewingprocessorstandards

  • Provideleadershiptoensurecommitmenttoproductqualityinthebrewingdepartment

  • Applybrewingsubdepartmentqualitysystemsintheworkplace

Provide Brewing process expertise (Technical depth) and Lead problem solving processes

  • Assessbrewingtechnicalrequirementsand decisionswhererequired

  • Supportimplementationofrecommendations

  • SupportimplementationofprocessandproductoptimisationincludingCAPinandVAprojectsandtrials

  • Auditareastandards(quality,processandwork-practices)toensureeffectivemanagementofthearea

  • Supportall7pillarsstandardsintheworkplacerelatingto VPO

Facilitate team problem solving and decision making

Minimum Requirements:

  • BScDegreeinBiologicalSciences,ChemistryorChemicalEngineering

  • Completedbrewingtraineeship

  • Master Brewer IBD qualification obtained - Studying towards MB Qualification desirable but not essential

  • SAPmodules; White beltcertificationwouldbehighlyadvantageous desirable but not essential

  • IBDPapers1,2&3completedandpassed

  • Atleast2yearsproductionexperience,ofwhich1years’operatingatamanagementlevelwithin Brewing

  • Demonstratedexperienceindrivingcommercialdecisions inabrewery(financial,operational, people) andbrewingtechnicalexpertise

  • Agoodperformancetrackrecordindicatingadisciplined work ethicwith passionatmaintainingquality
