SALARY: $23.70/hour, bonus eligible

SHIFT: Rotating Shifts

  • Day: 5AM - 1:30PM

  • Swing: 1PM - 9:30PM

  • Night: 9PM - 5:30AM

  • Rotations can occur as frequently as monthly.

The Brewing Operator is required to work in a team based environment that involves all facets of production brewing. The brewing department is divided up into Brewhouse, Cellar and Filtration. A Brewing Operator is expected to operate and complete tasks in one of these assigned areas while assisting other operators as needed. Brewing Operators are expected to work with team members from all production departments (Quality, Safety, Packaging and Maintenance) to meet the production goals set by departmental heads. Brewing Operators and expected to meet and exceed Safety, Quality and Production goals set by the company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct essential brewing processes (Brewhouse, Centrifuge, and Cellar) while following our strict Safety and Quality standards.

  • Follows all departmental Policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

  • Maintains an exceptionally clean work area via cleaning, sanitizing and on a regularly scheduled basis.

  • Coordinates and communicates with peers, leads and managers from each department to insure seamless communication minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

  • Organized, accurate record keeping and preparation of raw materials used throughout the entire brewing process.

  • Completion of daily production tasks scheduled by Lead and Head Brewer.

  • Report Safety, Quality and Production abnormalities to Lead and Head Brewer.

  • Attends and participates in both departmental and company meetings.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school education or equivalent required. Formal brewing education is preferred.

  • Must be 21+ years of age.

  • Forklift certification preferred.

  • Manufacturing experience or training preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude, sense of urgency and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work safely with hazardous materials including acids, caustics and sanitizers.

  • General knowledge of brewing process is required. Willingness to continue brewing education.

  • Ability to use office related software including Microsoft Office.

  • Strong problem solving and multitasking skills required.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously required.

  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts.

  • Familiarity with 5S practices is preferred.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.

  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move from 50 pounds to up to 100 pounds.
